Gorlaeus Building
Leiden University
Leiden University
The Gorlaeus building on Leiden University's Science Campus is the new home for the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. The building is a high-tech environment, equipped with state-of-the-art research and teaching facilities.
On behalf of Heijmans, we equipped the building with an intelligent light management system. All lighting in the building is controlled by the Helvar Imagine system. All routers were delivered in assembled cabinets. This makes installation easier and gives certainty that the routers have been installed correctly.
Most lighting is controlled by sensors. For manual control, we have supplied control panels with the scene name engraved in the frame. Lighting can also be controlled in various lighting scenes and groups via a central touchscreen. The ucontrol platform provides monitoring of the emergency lighting.
In the video below, our colleagues Daniël Bakker and Gerard Cleton talk about the system we realised.
