The new Holland Casino in Utrecht is a sustainable and modern casino. Its special facade ensures that the building is a real eye-catcher.

All luminaires individually adjustable

The casino is equipped with a comprehensive lighting management system. All lighting in the building is controlled by the system. Besides the use of sensors and time controls, the gaming rooms can be set and adjusted as desired by means of a visualisation on an iPad. Each luminaire (1100 pieces) in the playrooms can be set and adjusted individually. It is also possible to switch entire zones per fixture type simultaneously. The adjustments can be stored in custom scenes.
In the gaming halls, the 250 slot machines are also included in the system. Via a DALI relay, the slot machines are switched on in stages the moment the emergency power generator switches on.

Integration

The system is integrated with the BACnet building management system. This ensures that lighting in the offices can be controlled via the thermostat. Also, registration of presence in a room is transmitted to the climate control system via a sensor of the lighting management system.

BREEAM

To comply with BREEAM certification, the valves of the toilets' water supply are switched via the light management system's sensors, and manual controls have been applied in the offices per 40 m2.
