DPG Media

DPG media, the largest media company in the Netherlands and owner of more than 50 Dutch brands such as AD, Qmusic and Donald 🦆, has a new headquarters in Amstel Business Park Zuid. Much of the building's construction will be made of wood. This makes the building one of the largest hybrid wooden buildings in the world. 

We were commissioned by SDR to equip the building with a hybrid lighting management system. Our ActiveAhead wireless system was used in the offices. The more than 600 compact sensors have been given a special housing that allows them to be fitted perfectly into the SAPP ceiling. In addition, it is possible to control the lighting manually via wireless switches. 

The lighting in the central areas is connected to our Helvar Imagine light management system. Some 200 sensors ensure that the lighting only comes on when motion is detected. Via a 21" touchscreen with customised visualisation, the lighting can be controlled centrally. It is also linked to the BMS via BACnet, allowing the climate system to be controlled and read out via the central touchscreen.  

All DALI lighting and emergency lighting can be monitored via our ucontrol platform. ucontrol automatically performs tests and automatically reports any problems to building managers.
