DALI calculation

Roadmap

1. Make sure you have an overall view of the components

number of DALI luminaires
number of non-DALI luminaires (should they be able to be switched or dimmed via DALI and in how many groups)
number of emergency lighting luminaires with DALI interface
number of sensors
number of control panels or pulse switches
number of relays/dimmers
number of input contacts for fault messages or switching by an external system (e.g. BMS)
number of shading units

2. Complete the DALI calculation sheet

For each floor or zone, count all fixtures and components and enter them in the calculation sheet.
You will see the number of DALI lines required in the calculation sheet. Using the highest number (addresses or mA), determine the number of DALI power supplies or routers.

3. Make sure you have an overall view of the installation

project name and location
lead time of the offer and possibly the project
programming should be carried out by Helvar
wishes regarding the various circuits/ feedback messages
are surface-mounted sleeves required for the sensors
choice of cover frame for control panels
central control via touchscreen is desired
Is a link to the building management system or other installation required?
is there interest in software training
any drawings/lighting calculations
any other questions for which you would like an answer or advice
