Lighting Controls B.V. (hereinafter "LCBV" or "we") considers privacy very important, including your privacy.
LCBV ensures that your data is handled in a way that protects and safeguards your privacy as much as possible. This privacy statement explains how we do this.

Special and/or sensitive personal data we process

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data on website visitors who are under 16 years of age. Unless they have parental or guardian consent. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore advise parents to be involved in their children's online activities to avoid collecting data on children without parental consent. For what purpose and on what basis we process personal data

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

• To inform you about (changes to) our services and products
• To provide you with the information you have requested
• For sending newsletters
• Event registrations and attendance and to provide you with event updates and information

Automated decision-making

We do not make decisions based on automated processing on matters that could (significantly) affect you.

How long we keep personal data

We do not retain your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to fulfil the purposes for which your data is collected. Sharing personal data with third parties

We use other companies to provide services that involve the processing of personal data such as mailing and marketing services, website analytics services and IT services. We will only provide these companies with the information to provide the service and they are generally prohibited from using that information for other purposes. We may also transfer personal data to event co-organisers.

We do not sell your data to third parties and only provide it if necessary for the performance of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. We conclude a processor agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. We remain responsible for this processing.

We only use technical, functional and analytical cookies that do not invade your privacy. The cookies we use are necessary for the technical operation of the website and your ease of use. They ensure that the website works properly and, for example, remember your preferences. View, modify or delete data

You can send a request to access, correct, delete, transfer your personal data or request the revocation of your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to info@helvar.nl.

To ensure that the request for inspection is made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your proof of identity with the request. In this copy, black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks.

How we secure personal data

We take appropriate measures to counter abuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised modification.
