Helvar Imagine, Public buildings

Alden Biesen is one of the largest castle estates in the Euregion. It is a magnificent heritage site and a cultural centre of the Flemish Government. Helvar realised the lighting control for the architectural lighting in close cooperation with the lighting designer, the Flemish Government, the contractor and the installer.

Commissioned by the Flemish government, Spectrum Advies & Design provided the lighting design. The lighting design focuses on both functional lighting and experiential lighting and ensures an optimal visual experience for visitors.

The light management system ensures that the lighting can be set completely as desired and perfectly matches the lighting plan. Automated scene switching ensures the right light setting at any time. It is also possible to operate the lighting manually via a touchscreen. This allows the lighting to be easily adjusted when events are organised.

Together with the lighting designer, our software engineers were present overnight to configure the lighting. A service subscription was also taken out, allowing us to make adjustments remotely at any time.
