Grand project

Rechtbank Amsterdam has had new premises since 2021. The consortium NACH realised the new court building. The building consists of 13 layers and has 47,250 m2 of floor space for offices, courtrooms, interrogation rooms and custody area. On behalf of NACH, Helvar realised the complete lighting management system for the court. Some 200 DALI routers were applied, forming an overall lighting management system. This makes NACH one of the largest projects ever for Helvar Netherlands.

Lighting control

The lighting is controlled in various ways. Daylight and motion sensors are installed to control the lighting in the central areas. The corridor areas are controlled by time controls, which can be overridden via overtime timers on the central touchscreen. In the offices and conference rooms, wireless EnOcean control panels are used. The lighting management system is linked to the BMS via BACnet, so that EnOcean control can also be used for temperature control. For control of the lighting in the courtrooms, a link has been made via an API to Ascom's floor call system.

Pluggable

All blinds are also included in the Helvar system. The shading modules are placed in their own installation box and supplied by us ready-to-use. The sensors are also supplied with connecting cables. This reduces installation time and saves costs.

Car park

Besides controlling the lighting, we also provide the parking signalling system. Each parking space has an ultrasonic sensor that detects whether the parking space is free or occupied. A green or red light indicates the status. The occupancy information is also displayed on a map to the car park manager.

Monitoring

Our 10-year service contract provides not only service, but also valuable insights. With Helvar Insights, data from the lighting management system is made available in the cloud. Authorised users can easily access it via a web-based interface and a REST API. The dashboard provides instant insight into the status of the lighting management system and building usage.
With 24/7 real-time monitoring, the platform provides continuous insight into the system, including the status of the (emergency) lighting. In addition, the maintenance party receives instant alerts and notifications when a problem occurs in the system, including advice on how to solve the problem.
Remote configuration and management capabilities allow easy and secure configuration and management of the light management system via an encrypted VPN connection.
