The renovation at the Amsterdam nursing home `Dr. Sarphatihuis` is a great example of energy saving by replacing the lighting fixtures in combination with a DALI lighting control system.
At Dr Sarphati House, recent renovations of the living rooms have been accompanied by making the care home more sustainable. This has resulted in the replacement of conventional PL downlights with Fosnova Office LED lighting from Attiva, which has resulted in direct energy savings of 50%. In addition, the luminaires were fitted with DALI drivers and connected to a lighting management system. Intelligent programming, in addition to additional energy savings, also increases occupant comfort. The lighting only comes on when and where it is needed. By dimming the luminaires where needed, various light levels are created in the living room for the various activities (such as watching TV, reading, playing cards, eating), enhancing the atmosphere.
