Scala College in Alphen aan den Rijn is a comprehensive secondary school. The school has three locations and a total of about 2000 students. Helvar realised the lighting management system for the newly built location on the Henry Dunantweg.

Lighting in the school is controlled by 11 DALI routers. The routers are interconnected via Ethernet, creating a network.

The light management system is integrated with the BMS through a BACnet gateway. Via the BACnet gateway, the configured lighting groups are read out from the routers. This allows the lighting to be controlled via the BMS controls.

The new school building is almost completely energy-neutral, which was very important for the school. These sustainable objectives can be well achieved with our Helvar light management system.
