Keukenhof flower park

The Keukenhof has a new entrance building. To create a unique visitor experience, the separate entrances have been replaced by one new gatehouse containing cash registers, information desk and shops.

For the new building, Helvar realised the complete lighting control system on behalf of Schulte & Lestrade. The system is built using different types of Helvar components that make the system user-friendly as well as energy-saving.

Most LED lighting is fitted with a DALI driver but switchable lighting is also used. Both types of lighting are included in Helvar's DALI light management system. In addition, DMX outdoor lighting is also included in the same system through the Helvar 920 router.
Lighting is switched automatically in most rooms using Helvar sensors. It is also possible to operate the lighting manually using control panels and touchscreens. Touchscreens integrated with the AV system have been installed in the meeting rooms. This allows the beamer and audio to be controlled in scene along with the lighting.

When the alarm is triggered, most of the lighting is switched off. Only the running and façade lights remain on. As soon as the alarm is switched off, the lighting switches on. Which lighting is then switched on depends on the season. In the season when the Keukenhof is open to visitors, parts of the lighting are automatically switched on that are normally off in the off-season.
