The Solar Charging Company has developed the Smart Energy HUB: a carport equipped with solar panels, battery storage and charging capabilities for electric cars. As such, the hub offers a complete solution to charge cars independently of the energy grid.
The lighting in the hubs is controlled by an ActiveAhead Node Advanced. A multisensor is used per 2 parking bays. The sensor has a PIR sensor for motion detection and a light sensor. The light sensor prevents the light from switching on if there is sufficient daylight. If there is not enough daylight, the lights will go on automatically as soon as a car approaches.
As a result, the solution fits well with The Solar Charging Company's sustainable philosophy.
