New, sustainable hospital opened

The new Tergooi hospital has been built in the wooded surroundings of Monnikenberg. All acute, intensive and clinical care from the Blaricum and Hilversum locations will be brought together in the new hospital. The new building is sustainable, future-oriented and compact. The lighting management system makes an important contribution to this. We realised the system on behalf of Installatiecombinatie Tergooi (BAM Bouw en Techniek and ULC Installatietechniek).

A key argument for receiving the order is that with our 15 software engineers, we can take full charge of commissioning. As a result, we are able to get the system fully working within the specified deadline.

Optimal system

What is special about this project is its considerable size and the various functionalities used. The hospital was built in four building sections, so we divided the system software-wise into four sections as well. Network communication between the different parts is therefore minimal, which contributes greatly to optimum and efficient system operation.

The lighting management system is linked to several other systems. A link with the nurse call system allows patients to control the lighting from the hand control at the bedside. Also, the signal from our motion sensors is transmitted to the climate control system.

In the video below, our colleague Sebastiaan Goossens talks about the system we realised.
