City Hall
Saint-Nicolas
Sint-Niklaas' town hall dates from the 19th century and stands on Sint-Niklaas' Grand Place (the largest in Belgium). It is the third building that has functioned as a town or city hall. In 2016, the city commissioned a thorough renovation + the construction of a new wing.
Thanks to a good relationship with the installer, we were nominated. Ease of use was the main focus. All wings, old and new, are interconnected. The building is equipped with sensors everywhere and, in combination with our built-in Astro clock, staff receive optimum lighting. A touchscreen was commissioned on each floor, where a particular scene can be manually called up/overridden if required. Thanks to Autoheal functionality, the facility manager can replace drivers, sensors or pushbuttons without having to readjust.
