Helvar Imagine is based on the DALI protocol; the standard for lighting control.
Light can make a major contribution to people's well-being in a building, for example through biodynamic lighting control.
There are many integration possibilities. Among others, with AV systems, BACnet, Modbus, LON, KNX, MQTT and Trigrr.
The ucontrol platform makes a Helvar DALI installation insightful and controllable in a web environment.
Thanks to our software specialists, you are guaranteed an optimally functioning system.
Helvar Imagine is Helvar's leading DALI light management system. Designed to bring well-being and intelligence to the building, Imagine offers efficiency and scalability for a wide range of applications.
The light management system is based on the open standards DALI and Ethernet. Helvar routers form the basis of our system and allow easy connection of all DALI components. Connecting the routers via Ethernet creates a complete network with maximum availability of functionalities. These functionalities create endless possibilities which, together with our customer-oriented philosophy, ensures that we offer a suitable solution for every situation.
Shading control
Operate and control blinds by the DALI protocol both locally, centrally or by a weather station.
On/off detection
Signalling presence and/or absence by sensors whereby lights are switched on or off.
Daylight control
Have lighting switched off or dimmed back based on incident daylight.
Manual operation
Local control of lighting and blinds by pulse switch, control panel or mobile app.
Time controls
Set clock and time programmes for automatic switching of lighting and blinds.
Tunable White control
Combination of light intensity and light colour control for dynamic lighting programmes with DALI Type-8.
Feedback
Using DALI's bidirectional communication.
Astronomical timer
Have automatic light switching based on the position of the sun or day/night rhythms.
Dimming
Adjusting brightness by a DALI command or 230V DALI dimmer.
Self-healing
After a voltage dip or power failure, the routers reboot independently without loss of programming.
Monitoring (emergency) lighting
The DALI standard also includes the monitoring of (emergency) lighting for the purpose of lighting management.
Swipe function
Central wiping out of lights by manual control or linking to the alarm system.
Integration
There are many bidirectional integration possibilities. Among others, with AV systems, BACnet, Modbus, LON, KNX, MQTT and Trigrr.
Visualisation
Simple or extended touchscreen control for controlling or monitoring lighting.
Central control
Touchscreens and tablets allow central control of lighting and blinds.
The DALI router (or application controller) is the heart of the system. Routers are equipped with many functionalities, such as (astronomical) timers and logic functions. A router is autonomous, but offers a scalable and flexible solution to make a building intelligent. From a single room to an entire hospital, routers can be used in any situation.
Data
A lighting management system collects an awful lot of data via the (climate) sensors. This data enters the routers and can be used within Helvar Insights be processed into valuable information.
Time controls can be applied in many different ways. For example, it is possible to always have the lights on orange on King's Day. As a result, you always have the right look and never have to look back.
An alarm control system is ideal and very widely used. The lighting management system is linked to the alarm system via an input unit. As soon as the alarm is switched off, the basic lighting is switched on and off again when the alarm is switched on.
In a room that is generally only used for a short period of time, after detecting motion, the lighting can turn off quickly. By analysing this motion data, Helvar Insights can suggest ways to optimise sensor time-outs.
Via our ucontrol platform, it is possible to control the lighting from any device via a web environment. This can also be done via a qr-code per workstation so that everyone has control over the light above their own workstation.
Our software specialists ensure that Helvar light management systems are commissioned accurately and fully meet the customer's specific requirements. Thanks to our expertise, customers do not need to know about the software themselves. We ensure that the system functions optimally.
To get started with the software yourself, we provide a software training course that will give you the knowledge to configure a basic system.
